The Goodygoodyswap of 2013
Or what I sent off to my amazing-photos-taking-patner:
In the message I received I learned she loved postcards and photography. So I bought her a vintage Christmas postcard from year 1933 (so cute), took a special Polaroid photo just for her, printed one of my favourite Polaroids and sewn a fabric jacket for a little photo album (I also made the cover title to sew on) and made a little madebynini label to sew inside on the back flap. That gorgeous label comes from The Graphics Fairy web site. It's this one, pretty isn't it?
She loved her presents and told me she'll use the album for her favourite photos from her Cambodia trip :) I loved that!

Hi Nini! thx so much for posting - love seeing your swap goodies :) so fun! I really like your photo album cover - the label is GORGEOUS! how did you make it? you are very very talented, my dear! cheers! Sandy P
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Sandy! And thank you so much for taking the time to comment again after all the comment-no-shows. Plus being so kind and generous with your kindness :)
DeleteFor the album label I took an image from The Graphics Fairy web site and personalized it with the text. Then I printed it onto the transfer paper, put it on the fabric and sew it on the cover. Rather easy :) I do love how it came out.
Lovely swap-present Nini! Original idea too, this little photo-album; I also love the little made by nini label!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Esther! I made three "jackets" last year and I find them really sweet and very personal. Very good for presents too. I have to work on my labels a bit more though as I'm not quite satisfied with them yet.
DeleteI do love all the swaps you get involved in :)
ReplyDelete:) Thanks Laura, me too ;)
DeleteNini, I love that you managed to find such old postcards and that you made such a lovely gift. You are AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzi! :)
DeleteApparently there's quite a market for these old postcards over here and their prices are not low at all, especially for the ones in demand (kinda logical I know).
