Sleeping Fox
Yesterday was my mother's birthday and I made her this cute little sleeping fox brooch. She really liked it so it made all the needle poking worth wile :)
I really don't have much to tell you about this little fox except that it was rather hard photographing her due to the greyness outside. I think I'll have to make me one of those light boxes to shoot these kind of little items in. Yes. That would be a very wise thing to do.

Oh my gosh, she is SO adorable :D And I don't say that easily ;) I LOVE the first shot on the moss (?) - looks like she found a perfect spot to rest - well, that's before she lands on your mom's lapel of course - I'm sure that's an even better spot ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you mean about the light - well, I understand the concept, of course, and I know what inner mean chicks can be like, intimately, but these shots look PERFECT :) (sorry ;)) Still, I'd love to see how you make a lightbox, too! Another for WIP Wednesdays, perhaps? ;)

DeleteShe was posed on the moss indeed, I love this kind only it gets quite fragile when it dries. There is another one which looks like green hair (can't see it very often) and when it dries it looks like really tiny hairlike hay. Gorgeous.
Well, about the lighting for the shot - it might look perfect now but I had to spend way too much time on it to do the post-work of getting it this way. Light box would sort this out only I'd need to get me more lamps. And a place to store it all..... aaaaa.... :D
But I agree. Totally a WIP Wednesday photo project. In both senses :D
What a beautiful little broach, Nini! I've never done needle felting before, but I love it. I have to agree with Yvonne, the lighting looks great!

Oh my gosh, that is the most stunning brooch. It is gorgeous. You did well with your photography too. I'm sure your mum was thrilled to receive such a beautiful gift.

DeleteI have to "fish" other textures as well for my future photo shoots, it's kind of fun doing it even if it can be pain in the but due to various uncontrollable reasons :)
Ahh, what a cute fox! I've been wanting to try needle-felting but the thought of gathering a whole new set of supplies seems a bit crazy, plus I am the type to cause myself lots of minor needle injuries. :D (But I am still considering buying a little starter kit at Etsy!)

Thank you so much! You should totally get that kit and try it out although I must warn that these needles are horribly very sharp but the cuteness of things you can make will help you forget about that :D
